Personal contact and communication is essential to providing great care. We consider this to be of the utmost importance and pay close attention to it. This is focused on daily during drop-off and pick-up times. Additionally, parent meetings are held approximately twice a year. However, an appointment can always be made for an extra meeting with our team.
If you as a parent are dissatisfied with something at our daycare, there are a number of possibilities to file a complaint. The Elfenbankje has a parent committee and is affiliated with an independent complaints committee.
You can choose one of two options: an internal or external complaint route.
Internal means that a meeting will be held within the organisation with either Anneke or Swanhilde (owners and team leads). In most cases, it is advisable to discuss your issue with the person who provoked it or with the person primarily responsible. You can also contact the parents' committee. If you are unsatisfied with the way in which the complaint is handled, you can take the external route. This means that you approach the external complaints committee.
This organisation acts as an independent body.
Complaints must be submitted in writing. As owners, we will keep you informed (in writing) about the course of action as it progresses. Depending on the nature of the complaint, we aim to handle this as quickly as possible (no longer than 6 weeks).
When investigating a complaint, the disputes committee will view both sides of the disagreement in order to give the various parties involved the opportunity to explain their arguments and views. Disputes can be filed by the parent / parent committee as well as by the owner. All issues can be brought before the Disputes Committee.
